you have to include the distance to the subject 50mm on full frame 3m from subject will have the same DoF and Bokeh as a crop but the crop will not show as much of the image. if you use the crop equivalent (say 35mm) so 35mm on crop 3m from subject the DoF and Bokeh will be different to the 50mm...
