Krait, Vipers, Triangle Keelback, Moth, Frogs, Lizards

A rather small Blue Krait / Malayan Krait (Bungarus candidus) I found some time ago at night. Approximately 2 feet long. West Malaysia. Highly venomous. Snakes, Mahogany Frog, Leaf Insect, Gecko

It's just my personal preference. Manual /Non ETTL speedlite will work just fine if you don't mind manually adjusting the flash power.

Snakes, Mahogany Frog, Leaf Insect, Gecko

Thanks for the comments, Wez, MilliSnaps. Good guess. Right, all taken at night with a diffused 270EX on a 70D's hot shoe, with the Laowa 15mm. Even during the day, with full flash setting (typically F11-16, ISO100/200, 1/200 or 1/250, the background will be dark if there is no object in...

    Frog Symphony

We were on the way to our regular herping spot when we spotted what we thought was a snake on the road. We stopped to inspect but it turned out to be a dead eel. Not a total disappointment though. If I hadn't got out of the car, I wouldn't have noticed this frog symphony. I recorded this with my...

Thanks, Rhod. It's not the easiest lens to use but it sure is a lot of fun to play with! I'll be posting more images soon! :D :P:cool:

    Laowa/Venus 15mm F4 1:1 wide angle macro lens (II)

Thanks for the comments, huffy, dancook, Pau. Very close! At 1:1, the subject would be 4.7mm away from the front of the lens. I tend to use this only slightly bigger models for now but I plan to use it on smaller subject at night. Right. This is the first 1:1 wide angle macro lens. Not all...

Hi Nigel, you can only order the lens directly from venuslens.net and no where else. Mine is a review unit courtesy of Venus/LaoWa.

Venus 15mm 1:1 wide angle macro lens

Sure, Neil. I'll try to see if I have any other pics. Yes, i am actually more interested in this lens then the Venus 2:1. It's fun to see bugs in different perspective. Put it on your Christmas list! :D

Venus 15mm 1:1 wide angle macro lens

:D. That's a temple up on a highland in Pahang :) No, I don't think the SHIFT feature is of any use for macro but I could be wrong.
