Reached the peak, lock down could start to be eased

Given the total lack of anything meaningful in your comments other than a bigoted view point the feeling is totally mutual.

Reached the peak, lock down could start to be eased

Actually the UK General Public were the biggest beneficiaries because if the Banking System hadn't been bailed out it would have crashed and then you would have seen chaos. Maybe you should stop reading the Guardian.

Reached the peak, lock down could start to be eased

Quantify why the very rich were the main recipients of the banking bail out

Baslow Edge Highland cows are gone following a dog incident

I do a lot of work in the Farming Industry and the disregard the general public show on on public footpaths is astonishing, the remains of picnics left in fields used for grazing, fires set, hedgerows and fencing wrecked ,gates left open. The general public have no concept of what rural life is...

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

I would be very wary of buying a Tesla , my next door neighbour had a shunt in his before Xmas and its been waiting for parts, the ETA of the parts is April !!!!!! He is not remotely impressed that his £90k car is not easily repairable particularly as it wasn't even a big shunt! I wouldn't bet...

Running an iMac off an external SSD

I converted my 2011 Imac 27 to SSD and maxed out the ram and it made it a new machine. I too didn't fancy doing the job myself but a local company did it for me for approx. £100. Its much better than booting off external drives as an SSD will not run at the same speed via usb than it will via SATA.

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

Whats reading back through the thread got to do you with your ridiculous post about Diesels being clunky, dirty and smelly?. My point was you obviously haven't owned a decent one if you couldn't even bare to put diesel in it .

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

I wouldn't hold your breath! As for Diesels you've obviously never owned or driven a decent one!

Banks / Loans / Monetary Theory

Incorrect! They have to hold a certain percentage of cash previously known as the reserve asset ratio, now known as the leverage ratio which currently runs at about 5% though in reality it is c 3%

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

You've consistently quoted predictions from EV user groups when if you Google about there are just as many nightmare stories of unreliability, lack of infrastructure rubbish range and charging inconsistency. You also quote rubbish about EVs being maintenance free and batteries being easily...

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

That's really convincing - all 4 years of it!!!

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

Most of the 'facts' you have posted are pure supposition and estimation because what you support so vehemently is such new technology and hasn't had the benefit of time to be tested. Your claims about battery life are frankly ludicrous, untested and at best a guess. ICE running costs are well...

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

To call people Luddites because they wont adopt something that won't work for them is both crass and pompous. Why would anyone adopt an EV if the vehicles not right for their purpose,if there's no charging infrastructure and the range is insufficient. The highly polluted cities are down to those...
