Been after fish owls for years and after 10 days of morning boat runs into the mangroves in western Sri Lanka it finallypaid off with this one moving into the open to check me out before returning to its roost
Haven't posted on this section before...so thought I would share my image of the Super Moon Eclipse I took at Avebury.
One image taken in Raw using double exposure.
Moon 500mm f5 1/100 iso 1600
Stones one flash set at 1/4 at app 10 meters distance f8 1/200 iso 1600
Straight out the camera...
Using a remote infrared trigger set up at a now trail mark or landing point will get those results.
Ones sold in the UK aren't sensitive or quick enough for some results as the beam has to be bounced back from a receiver. Well the ones I've seen and spoken to people about. There is a couple...
I nearly bought a 500mm f4 from them and after various emails they agreed for me to come to pick up as I am I'm Bournemouth most weekends. Well at the time I was.
I didn't have to pay in advance just when I got there.
However I didn't as got a great deal directly from canon
Still find them...
Seen it and looks great :)
This style of photography is quite common in Spain and some of the stuff coming from there is stunning. Something I'm getting quite into at the moment and trying to work something out with black foxes
They also use it through the day which opens further opportunities ;)
I also go for night heron juvenile
I'll try and post a juvenile striated heron later for comparison.
From memory they have slightly slender bills and body. No expert though ;)
