Hi all, been a while since I've been on here so I thought I'd post a few of my latest shots for C+C. Took a wander into Glasgow the other week to try to kick start the creativity since it's been lacking lately and it seemed to work (got me shooting more at least). Let me know your thoughts...

Sorry for the late reply, been having internet 'issues' for a while now but I've now got the TP iphone app so I should be able to keep a bit more up to date. I agree that she does look frozen and she was in fact frozen, took me ages to get the goosebumps semi-successfully hidden in photoshop...

I'd try merging 2 exposures for this type of thing. Take one shot without the flash and only the brake light and then another without the brake light and only the off camera flash and then merge them with layers and a mask in photoshop or whatever program you're using, can't really think of...

Appreciated Gary, I think it does make her stand out a wee bit more and I did feel that the light patches in the background of the original were possibly a bit of a distraction tbh. I think that the edit would probably work better if the vibrancy and/or saturation was left in the model though...

Think I'd agree with The23rdman, a wee tweaked curves adjustment layer to bring back some contrast and it would be absolutely fine. The lighting looks good, just lacking a bit of contrast for me and I'm not sure if the sparkly effect on the background suits the subject but that's just a personal...
