    Nikon D90 & SB-900 off Camera Lighting

Yes thats true but I find the power of the flash is pretty negligible, from looking at the photo's. I guess you can try some cheapo flash triggers such as the yongnuo RF-603, can be had for about £30 or less on various sites, or a flash cord? or what flash in the pan has recommended :)

Black Rapid RS7 or RS Sport

I have the rs-sport 2, which is the slim version. Im 6ft tall medium build and carry d7k with 17-55 (heavy lens) or the 70-200 attached without problems.

    Considering a step-up to the D7000

I also own a D7000, moved from a D5000 and an 18-50 sigma f2.8 macro as my walk around lens. When I upgraded to the D7k it was a much less forgiving camera with the sigma lens, because of the higher pixel count. That changed when I got Nikon 17-55 f2.8, but thats £600 s/h, I also use a tokina...

Black Rapid RS7 or RS Sport

Havent tried the RS-7, so can't really comment on that, but I believe the rs-sport is similar and comes with the brad (under arm thing) as standard. I own the RS-sport and it is very comfortable, ergonomics are great and is very secure particularly with the brad attachment.
