    Marsh Harriers Spain Migration

One of my favourite birds...have you tried playing with the levels to try and bring some of the under-bird detail out? Also, regarding your comment about September being busier.......it would be, as the newly born youngsters add to the adults passing through! Look forward to seeing any more

Bag hide or scrim netting for birds?

As always with camo and 'hiding', you need to remember the three S's - Shadow, Sound and Silhouette. Certainly, as others have said, you need to be aware of your background - particularly in the garden. If you go down the personal camo route (as opposed to remaining behind a static camo...

    Nikon 80-200 compatibility

The one in the classifieds is a push-pull one, so the one before the still-current (if you live outside Europe) two-ring version. Uncle Ken says the former is slow to AF, especially in comparison to the current one. An AF-S version was also made, which focusses even faster. Personally, go for...

    Sigma lens and TC

I echo Neil's comment; it's mightily impressive for what a lot would view as 'third party trash'! Keep an eye out for secondhand ones around £900 - I've made comments elsewhere in this sub-forum with hints on the DG/non DG copies and their tripod collars; as long as it has the bigger one (model...

    Camera bag dividers

My current bag du jour is a military-spec rucksack in which I've got a Lowepro Lens Case 5 for my Siggy 120-300mm f/2.8 with body attached - yes the body obviously stands proud of the case but I'm pretty please for the type of access/other kit I carry

    Bag for Nikon D3s - 24-70 - 70-200

Tamrac Velocity 9x will fit the bill, with the bigger lens attached or down one side

Are there any Sigma 120-300 users here?

Well done.....there is an OS version hitting the market, but as other have said the original model is superb. It may be heavy, but it is well balanced believe me. If secondhand models tempt you, make sure it's a DG version as they come with the larger TS-41 tripod foot which doubles as a...

Superb, especially the Kingfishers and the Woody

Blue Chaffinch - Blue tit feeding on prickly pear - Turnstone

I agree with Stu on all points, especially the Turnstone!

    My 2nd post - A Tufted Titmouse

Certainly not bad considering it's f/5.6. I had one of these guys fly onto my hand while walking through Central Park once...I was taking a combat cookie break while birding there and he/she appeared from nowhere to try and get some crumbs!

    Is this cheating?

Birds of prey at centres, etc., are great subjects for any photographer whether static or in a flying display. You've simply proved that!

Little Owl. (Images 5 and 6 Added)

Must echo the others...you've even superbly captured the 'attitude' of these great little birds
