£3 macro set-up, second try.

Dipping my toe into macro with old (free) prakticar lens and £3 reversing ring. These are handheld ambients, I'm going to give off camera flash a try, hoping all this rain might have brought some more bugs out. I'll post what I find later.
With the amazing results I've seen from other posts, I'm guessing this macro thing gets a lot pricier than £3. When I get to buying a proper macro lens, I'll have to tell the wife I'm only buying it so I can take pictures of flowers for her, it might work.

The first shot is great for a £3 set up. I think a little off camera flash will help you by allowing for larger DOF. Practice makes perfect and what better way to dip your toe in.

Very nice, keep practicing... and as said in other post here is what the optics of kit lens can do reversed... also @Neil Burnell can show you some takumar 28mm (old lens reversed shots)

CA seems to have taken a hold in the first one. but #2 is the best just needs some lighting improvements.

Looks like someone ^^ has overheard and is burying it's head knowing the trouble you'll get in to
