Another mixed bag from today.

I struggled photographing this colourful chap, he would not stay still. Any ID

Almost a good shot. I was taking a shot of the tiny mushroom then he jumped on top for a split second.

Some more Collambola. These were quite big compared to my find a couple of days ago. I spotted four and they all looked like different types but they all scarpered before i could shoot them.

Second set are good...

For the ID's these are ones I shot when I first started this macro so will try and dig out them for you. The red eyed one and red bodied one I am referring too.

Thanks chaps, it was raining and bloody cold today. I was asking myself what the hell i am doing out here. I learnt quite a lot today with the last two images mainly about balancing the flash and ISO. So it was worth while freezing my knackers off.

Couple of good sets there T0p cat, I like the very first shot in the 1st set very much, and also the first three in your 2nd set are very good. I feel possibly you may have used just a bit too much flash on some of the shots though. Other than that "Great Stuff".

Hi there ...some nice ones there ....I particularly like the first one ....very eye catching, last shot of the mushroom is very eye catching.
