Any decent “Black Friday” deals

There are definitely some decent deals out there, but you need to sift through tons of crap offers and fake deals in order to get anything. I do sense that people I know are starting to see through it all now and are seeing it for the con that it really is; Hike prices up slowly in the weeks leading up to Black Friday, and then drop them back down again and claim it's a discount.

I think the trick is to find the item that you're after and find out what the normal price is (not RRP, the "usual" discounted price), and then see how BF compares. Too many people trust the "now 40% off" signs and don't realise that the product is almost always that price. Not talking about camera gear offers specifically, but BF deals in general.

Eurosport Player is offering an annual subscription for £1.99. You need to enter the code below in the relevant box when signing up at https://www.eurosportplayer.com, which will reduce the price from £30 to £1.99 if successful (apparently they have a limited number of discounted signups):

BFRIDAYUK199

The offer still seems to be active. If you have an existing account, you'll need to sign up for a new one with a different email address. Note that this will autorenew in a year at the normal price unless you cancel first. See:

Also, Maplin are doing the Chromecast for £19 today if you need something to watch it with:

How low has that gone? I'm seeing it at various places for £600 today, but camelcamelcamel says it was £500 at Amazon on Nov 13.

35% off on the Hitech website still running with discount code IRENE35%, makes the firecrest holder kit £106.39 as an example.
