Baby Photo`s

Im by now way a great photographer , but i have every intention to take good photo`s . Im after some tios / poses / ideas of taking baby photo`s of my , soon to arrive , grandson . Any / ALL advise is greatly recieved , thanks .

I think the best thing to do is look for baby pics in the 'Peolple & Portraits' thread to get ideas of composition/backgrounds/props/etc. The threads may give details on lighting & settings or you could ask the OP concerned.

Get a 35mm or 50mm 1.8 type of lens, shoot at around 2.8 depending on light. Gets some great results for me.

Be prepared for a crying/feeding/pooping baby at the time you want to take photos -had to abandon efforts with my latest grandson just recently, just got some weird expressions from a blotchy face!
