Backup/Sync Software

Good Evening All,

I currently have a backup of an external drive which is mirrored (manually) to a NAS.

Now, i clearly have some files missing on the NAS which are present on the external......

I need some form of syncing software which will be able to compare both and mirror as appropriate.

Just wondered what everyone uses....(i'm a MAC user).....

Freeware would be great, but if not, don't mind paying a fee for making my life easier

If on a mac, Synchrinise X Pro or Deltawalker.

Don't forget with syncing software if you delete files on the external hard drive the sync software will delete the same files on the NAS box.

No it doesn't necessarily. That's back up functionality not bi-directional sync. Both deltawalker and syncpro-X will show what is different in either folder of the slave or the master to make each identical. You choose what files you wish to make the same.

Which ever method you use, probably best to test first with an especially created folder.
