Bargain Lenses!!!

I recently enquired about a similar auction, and the answer was they don't want to end the auction, but are out of stock. They make the price ridiculous to stop people trying to buy.

It's to do with the way sales records are available from eBay.

Just found their email reply.

Due to the way eBay works we have to inflate the price of items that go out of stock so people do not buy them. This is the only way we can currently keep historic sales figures on the listings. Normally we would just close the listing but this does not work on eBay if we want to keep this sales information.



Please keep an eye on the listing as the price will come down when they come back into stock!

That's actually quite common practice on ebay for Traders.
