I picked up a second hand De'Longhi Magnifica ESAM for £100 and can't fault it, other than it being bloody noisy, but I suspect they all are.
I picked one of these up when it was on offer(which it is quite often) and very pleased with it. http://www.delonghi.com/en-gb/produ...ee-makers/magnifica-s-ecam-22110sb-0132213038
I also recommend trying out fresh coffee beans from Rave.
You can get it on amazon mate but I buy it direct from them sign up to their news letter and get 20% off first orderThanks for that. Is there any shops that sell the rave coffee so I can have a taste do you know?
Nice to see my local roastery getting some praise! Thanks for that. Is there any shops that sell the rave coffee so I can have a taste do you know?
Main advantage is that it grinds fresh beans (as long as you have fresh beans rather than old ones in a bag that hasn't been opened) and with good pressure creates a nice coffee. We both drink black coffee from a cafetière/press, and I've never seen one of these machines. What's the advantage of using one?
OK, thanks. We do use freshly ground beans, but these seem to be for people who want cappuccino and other 'milky' coffees? Very expensive too!

They're for lazy people who want good coffee at the press of a button.
Bloody love mine.
