Hmmmmm

Best Elephant, Cat or Reptile !!

Woops, 95% of my shots are monkeys, some sea lions, giraffes, otters...... One open category would probably have been helpful :cautious:

I had to leave early for my grand daughter's 1st birthday party.

Some amazing shots there Richard.

Closer inspection of my shots from the day reveal a considerable lack of sharpness. Probably a combination of el-cheapo lens, unsteady hands and poor focussing.

Idle request for not needing a big zoom on the next outing!

Anyway, here are a few of mine.

Grumpy Ape Glares At Photographers.

Nice one Tracey. Where are we off to next :)

Ian.

I have just been sat at my laptop sort through 500 pictures from the zoo and the birthday party complaining about them all being soft. I then got to a picture that was taken with the D700 and 24-70. "That shouldn't be soft" I said to Mrs_C. "It isn't" was the reply. I then realised that my contact lenses had gone funny. Strangely most of the images are now ok! Still not as good as everyone else's though. First time zoo shooter, must get more practice.

i'm sooooooo envious!.. am working today so couldn't come on the meet, we went on thursday and have been before and have NEVER ever seen the gorillas doing anything other than sleeping inside :D

plus you all got glorious weather!!

great photos!

Sorry I couldn't make it, but it looks like you all had a good laugh. Was Billy in his Clio? ;)

Hi Ian,
The answer is Yes & No, I was in my Clio but the Sport has now gone (4 weeks ago) I've now got a 1.5 dci
From £215 a year to tax £35
From Group 16 insurance to group 3
From 25-28 mpg to 50+ mpg

I can now spend more money on my other hobbies cameras, lenses etc:love:

I love the seal(ion) photo and they all are great quality shots so far. Where are the duffers so mine can look good

Well done Darren re Group ID post √
Nice to be able to put a face to who's taking the shots / posting.

Lots of quality shots - makes me want to get down there and have a wee play.
Looks like you all had a good meet / time / weather.

Yes, it was brilliant. We are just waiting for Tracey to organise the next one now :D

Man I love those Eastern Diamondbacks... unfortunately never any original shots of him any more. He's always curled up in the exact same spot in the exact same pose every time I go to Blackpool zoo. I'm sure he's just a stuffed one. ;)

Oh, and one that isn't a shot from the zoo, but had to post this for Richard. ;)
