Motoryacht A2
by Bristol Streets, on Flickr

The multi-award winning 47m/154'2" motor yacht 'A2' (ex. Circus II) was built by Feadship in the Netherlands at their Aalsmeer shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Susan Peluo and she was completed in 1983. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of De Voogt and she was last refitted in 2012.

GUEST ACCOMMODATION
A2 has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

RANGE & PERFORMANCE
A2 is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D379TA) 625hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 51,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 19,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Another oldie - from our visit to Ascension Island c 2016.

This is one of the "twoboats" near the approach to Green Mountain on the Island. Set up by the Marines ( British ) in the 19th century to serve as shelters from the heat for travellers climbing up the mountain. Two halves of a Naval Cutter were used. They are still both there but I couldn't get them both in shot. Probably been reset on concrete plinths later.

There was another shelter "one boat" somewhere near Georgetown at the start of the trek. This was moved/restored by the RAF in the 1980's to serve as a sort of bus shelter but also has local football trophies on display:
