Currently I have the 2 Canon kit lenses (18-55is and the 55-250is) I was looking at upgrading to the 15-85,it will give me a bit more on the wide end and a fair bit more reach to save swapping lenses so often.
Just wondering what the image quality is like? Is it a big jump up from the 18-55 and how does it compare to the 17-55 2.8?
I understand it's not a constant aperture like the 17-55 and not so great in low light, but I also own a Sigma 30 1.4,Canon 60 2.8 macro and flash so its not such a concern,I'm just thinking purely from a image quality point of view.
What I don't want to do is upgrade and then in the next year or so start upgrading again because the quality is not there,I know there is always a trade of in using zooms, but I just love the range this lens covers and at 15mm wide end I don't think I will ever need to go wider.
I currently have the 60D and have no plans of going full frame.
Cheers
