D90 Image Sharpening?

I notice that my images from the D90 have sharpening levels up to 4 when I look on the exif data, but can't find any mention of it either the handbook or the camera menu system.

Could somebody please enlighten me........or is it under another name, perhaps?

menu - set picture control - press right on the outside of the 'ok' button. This will take you to sharpening,contrast etc.
