The cold snap has brought in more Siskins than ever over the last few days so this is a bit of mix bag from the garden. Don't usually bother with feeder shots but I've included a couple that I kind of liked.

Without having to repeat myself. Top set Phil :clap:

A great set but number 3 stands out, out of curiosity what's in the feeders?

Just nijer seeds in those ones Mark. Certainly in my garden the Siskins, Redpolls and Goldfinches are all over them.

Thanks guys - they're eating me out of house and home just now.

nice shots, lovely birds. Never even seen a siskin, let alone got a pic of one!

I can't get anything remotely close to this - can i ask what lens you used?

Hi Ian

These would have all been taken with a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens on a 40D body - at 400mm - from about 12-18 feet away. They're also cropped so there's about 75% of the full image left if that makes sense.

Another lovely set of Siskin shots Phil (y) Number 1 stands out for me, the out of focus blossom add's depth to the image (y)

Excellent :clap::clap::clap:

Nijer seed :thinking: maybe this could sort my squirrel and pigeon problem, nijer instead of sunflower hearts.

:clap: :clap: Cheers Phil

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide the details.
