It's an odd question because it can so easily be checked on the Fuji website - http://fujifilm-x.com/xf-lens/Is it odd ? a lot of modern lenses have plastic elements now , The 2 Fuji lenses I own are very light in weight and don't have that chunky glass feel

Elsewhere the descriptions might not be as clear because in lens design not all glass is glass, but that's not tosay that all non-glass is a plastic/resin - most people would consider some of the strictly non-glass elements to be glass (e.g. flourite elements aren't glass but they also aren't resin).
