How to clean your body, sensor and lens in one go

You might want to put a warning on this because there will be someone new who will actually do it...

I would also add "May not want to try this at home, or on your own equipment..." lol

Personally, I find the dishwasher a lot easier, if a little noisy. (not really! - dont do it!)

Already been posted.

I've been wondering how to do that for a while. I've just given my old 50D a good thorough wash as per instructional video and now it's hanging on the washing line, face down of course to let any remaining moisture drip out. I'm hoping it will be dry by this evening so I can get some dust spot free sunset shots.

Incomplete!
At least I dried my camera off

This is silly! touching the sensor like that will leave smudge marks! What you need is a jet wash, that will clean all the muck off the sensor without needing to touch it...:exit:

Reminds me of a forum thread in which someone was advised to clean their car's engine by running sand through it.

will it be ok to use the micro wave to dry it?

obviously I would take the battery out!
