IMO no need to guess..............the red face & black & white head markings are quite definitive ;)
 
Thanks everyone got it written down now lol, makes a change from pigeons and magpies around here.
 
Andy have a study of a few images of our UK goldfinch , it's an astoundingly colourful bird for blighty .they also respond really well to bird feeders and with time you can get VERY close.

they are right scrapy little fings, there is A LOT of fun to be had with a camera and this little ruffian
