I've lost my way a bit

I need some help with this picture, as you can see it wasn't the best angle to have taken it and the box seems to be growing out of the subjects head, I've tried using the magic wand in photoshop and too a degree a bit successful, grown in place of the box, ideally, I would just like the subject alone, no box and without the other person, is there anyone who can help me to remove the unsightly unwanted extra's?

Dave I am always interested to hear "its growing out of the head" comments.

Its not, it doesn't look like it, it looks like its on the wall behind ;)

Have you a wider shot? to remove the person, would be difficult as there is not a lot of other info to copy from/to

Hi Andy That's all I have, Yes, can see it's on the wall behind, I have no idea what happened in this process, has the magic wand emulated the hair and replaced the box with the hair profile?

I thought maybe if possible extending the wall in place of other person in frame?

The problem is selecting that lovely hair-do. All those ringlets! With bricks showing through! Possibly your best bet would be to blur the background a bit and leave it at that. Sorting that and leaving the rest looking realistic... nope, I couldn't do it.

It is possible, I had a bit of a go but a decent result would take a while, but its gotta be layers and a brush at high magnification I thinks :/

Had a quick go just a idea anything is possible all is not lost
bricks did my head in after a while but that only took about 5 mins theirs something you can do that will give the bricks real perspective but i forgot how to do it
good luck
