Laptop recommendation

Looking for a laptop recommendation, ideally something with a 13-14" screen that's not too heavy, 6-8GB RAM for around £550-650...anyone able to recommend something?

Laptop will only be used for sending from pitch side so won't be needed for personal use.

Looked around plenty this afternoon but would like some recommendations from sports shooters.

For football I use my old Dell laptop. Cost about £600 when new but served me well over the years. Formatted the hdd just before xmas to get rid of all the crap as never done it from new. Now just runs the few programs needed. Still quite fast and stood up to all the elements.

I either use a Dell Lattitude 6400 (built like a tank with proper metal hinges etc) 80% of time or, when I can pry it from my wifes hands a Macbook Pro, which is much faster, but doubles up on software costs :(.
I use the Dell with minimum software ie photoshop etc & have never had any issues regards speed etc,
I don't understand photographers who sit watching other footy games, facebooking or trawling ebay etc during a game on their laptops??, this just destracs, & eats memory!, if I need to I can use my phone for these purposes. (googling a visiting managers pic to see what he looks like is an almost weekly task:LOL:).
I think almost any fastish Lappy will do TBH but a good quality build is essential then a good waterproof solution is paramount unless you can afford the Think Tank waterproof Lappys @ around £2,000 :eek:
 
6-8mb as you say, dual quad processor & a decent graphics card, waterproof might cost a little bit more
 
I'd be tempted to look at a refurbed E6400 if it's just for pitchside. You can pick them up for £250-400.
 
Thanks everyone, picked up a Samsung this afternoon on spec, has great reviews online so should do the job :)

I only use Thinlpads because they are build so well & always get them from Ebay.

Obviously too late as you have picked up a Samsung.
