Hopefully this will be of interest to some of my fellow night nutters out there, I've taken delivery of one of these this week from this seller, and he has now listed some more available (y) if you've a interested in light painting and night photography there is a good chance you'll have heard of the V24 and the fact that they're like gold dust thanks to having been discontinued for a few years now :(

Well these are genuine (as there are some fakes out there) amazing build quality BNIB V24's of the 7 colour cycle type....

I'd have to wonder if that is a genuine original or one of the cheaper Chinese knock offs, since the real lenser has been out of production for quite some time and the price they have them up at is actually less than the going rates for used V24's

i bought a v24 lenser from the two brothers in germany - brand new in the box fantastic piece of kit - any queries just email them and they will reply :)

Yeah that's where these ones come from (y) I wonder if its the same guys

I did wonder when i saw it was from germany and my box etc is identical. Unless they are all fakes!

Well there is another another company out there that is selling them very cheaply and you have to really look to work out that they're not totally legitimate :(

edit: I'm not saying that the one you've got is fake or genuine, it's not for me really to say, but I know I'd be a little suspect at that price and knowing that they've not been made for some time, it would give me concerns, also that they're using some of the same graphics that are on a site that is shall we say rather suspect :(

This is the one that I'd not touch with a barge pole :( http://www.led-torches.co.uk/produc...ht-Stick-w--7-Color-LED-Light-37-5--long.html

i agree mathew i would'nt touch them either it states on their site the color lenser needs a plug adapter so looks like they run off the mains - the other site is fantastic 1st class communication i dealt with a guy called Ute - they are well worth the money..

Hi MWHCVT,

I have checked their site, towards the bottom of the ad, it does say 4x AA batteries. According to google translate, the ad does match this site: http://www.eslebedaslicht.de/produc...lors-fuer-Innen---Aussen-Lapp-Fotografie.html (Link for post2).

Interesting to know why?? As I can't find any reviews of them...

Thanks,
J

The reason I'd not touch the led-tourches.co.uk one is because a) there's no such thing as a (coast LED Lenser) that show its a knock off and b) check out this http://www.flickr.com/groups/lightjunkies/discuss/72157631897732085/

Just to put in my 2p's worth. I've just got a V24 7 colour from the German website listed above. Total came to £66 after the euro to £ conversion. Ordered on Tuesday afternoon, arrived by DHL on Friday am. I already own 2 single colour V24's and when comparing it to these, this one is IMHO the genuine article.
I would be interested to compare it yours Matt when we meet up in Rulcever, just to be sure.

While I'm here, shameless plug for one of my old single colour RED V24, which is currently on ebay, for a starting price of £25. (y)

Just to add to my previous post, not that Matt's made me paranoid or anything. I've just googled the registered company name from the invoice I was sent (Geschenke & Accessories Neuhaus), this brings up a link to the Zweibrueder (official LED LENSER) website which shows that they (http://www.eslebedaslicht.de) are certified LED LENSER stockists.
This has made me feel better, and a bit less paranoid that I've bought a fake.

It's my hope that the company you've used Iain are genuine (y) it's my hope that someone out there is producing a genuine high quality reverse engineered version since LED Lenser don't want to make it anymore as if they're of the standard of the genuine product I'd be in the market for a second one (y)
