It's a lovely picture Neil. Well envisaged and taken. I also like the mono treatment very much

Just my personal opinion but this one isn't for me, feel free to ignore though.
I don't like how it's cropped, way too tight for me.
The model looks awkward as hell. Her hand positions are odd, that pose only works well if she bends her hips a little to one side, she is very straight, you could also have asked her to put one leg a little in front of the other which would have improved her body shape for that pose as well. This just looks strange, her big beaming smile doesn't fit for me with how the rest of her body is posed either. It kind of looks like she is desperate for a pee.
Could be just my tired eyes but it also looks like you have missed focus slightly on her eyes and face.
How the model is styled doesn't work well for me either, she looks a little old for pigtails, this image kind of has low rent soft porn movie vibes.
Just my personal preference but I don't like how this is edited either. There is no black point, just shades of grey which I personally don't like with monochrome images.

My studio is my bedroom. I have a good sized bedroom but when using my only portrait lens (85mm) there is no crop as such, it’s just what I could fit into the frame. Also I had challenges of where to place the mirror without getting the lighting camera etc into the reflection from the mirror……….. we had lots of fun doing this picture so at the end of the day that’s that really matters.It's a nice image, I like the idea, I wonder if it could do with more room to the right? Looks too tight on the model in my view, I could be totally wrong

With regards the lighting gear in mirror, you may be able to use a backdrop between the gear if you get the angles right
