Monza Race Track Advice?

Hi All,

Pondering on going to the Monza F1 in a few weeks and wondered if anybody has been and how good the track is for photography or are there just too many fences there?

Hi Bob,

I've been a few times but as an accredited photographer. However having said that, the best photo I got last year was of the podium, and I stood amongst the fans, so that would be achievable if you went.

Bob, you are a lot closer to the track than say Silverstone so it's possible to get some half decent shots. When I went a few years ago some of the best shots I got were of the crowd actually as there is a lot of colour on display. Ascari chicane is fantastic if you can get a spot in near the fence.
