Well I missed the f16 bit in your original post.

That does look like directional blur in the shot of the back of the blue car. It looks like a faster shutter speed needed then, or try to get more of a 3/4 shot of the car coming out of a bend which should minimise the problem.

Really good post.

I was having problems on sunday when not at 90 degrees with only getting parts of the car in focus. I just put it down to it being the rear of the car trying to overtake the front therefore moving in 2 directions at once (sideways and forward)

As we all say practice makes perfect! Will try and post some pictures soon, some of my best have come by luck and being in the right place. The first picture on servo normally will be soft, so ive bee told, so take a few. Depending on your camera frame rate.
