Nah that would mean I would have to up my game Being Useless has it's advantages. And the quality shots continue...you have so got to change your username.
These were taken in Spain. But Gambia is the place to see them it's brilliant for birds.Lovely Black Kites @The Useless Snapper
I remember going to see one that turned up in Lincolnshire back in 2006 / 2007
This one turned out to be a subspecies and in fact a Black-eared Kite.
Glad you like it. It was taken at Connie lundstroms eagle hide in Northern Sweden.Excellent...Grey-headed Woodpecker is a belting shot.
Thanks. I must admit to having a soft spot for Jay's.The GGO is an awesome bird...love the Jays too.
In Sweden they call them grey headed woodpeckers. The Green Woodpecker is very nice.
What is the Shrike eating, looks like a mouse?

Yep it's a mouse I don't know how much you know about the Shrikes we call them a butcher bird because they hang there prey on thorns like a fridge in a butchers shop.
Not meant to be Dale. I only realised when I was looking them up. According to her in doors I still have a lot to learn. It seems they are a subspecies of the ones we have in the UK. I will do more research on this, I love a school day.
I have only ever seen it twice and I'm a Shrike aficionado I just love these little birds.Yes, I knew this but never seen an image of one with prey.
One of my favourites as well Dale.Dipper, probably my second favourite water bird, lovely to see.
