Night snow shots

Its snowing like mad here today and i would like to go and take some shots but i wont be able to do this till tonight. Any tips for taking some snow shots at night?

.. depends on what effect you're after.

I tried some different experimental shots last night.

#1 Tungsten/Halogen security lights + Speedlite (I used a tungsten filter on the speedlite to balance colour)

#2 Tungsten/Halogen security lights + background Sodium Street lights (2s exposure - gave interesting 'unreal' looking streaky snow trails)

#3 compared to this morning's daylight shot

You got a lot of snowfall over night there then! Big difference between the night and day shot!
