I ordered PSE 8 as part of a bundle when I bought my Dell Laptop a few years ago. The computer was running a bit slow so I took it to Geek Squad for an optimising which was useless. Several weeks later I went to use my PSE only to find that it won't work. Something about a license and Error 150:30. I still have the discs that came with the computer so Can I just un install PSE and then re install with the disc that was sent to me?

A quick read suggests this:-

"Open services.cms, open Flexinet and change disabled to manual" !

Also

1. In the Windows->Run dialog, type in Services.msc and hit Enter.

2. Check whether a service named FLEXnet Licensing Service is in Started state or not?

3. If not, change its status from Stopped/Null to Started/Running.

4. If the above service is not listed in the Services list, then right click the below .exe and select the option for Run As Administrator for the below .exe:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FLEXnet Publisher\FNPLicensingService.exe
