They both work well also too often faked blur can just look exactly that "faked: but this works really well IMO

My only slight critique is the blur on the exhaust sort of gives that one away

The first one messes with my head, but in a good way.
My brain is constantly twitching between 'tiny digger' and 'big digger', I like it a lot.

I've been trying to get this effect too with a soft focus filter as it makes the edges fuzzy.

what software did you use to create this effect?
Did you just use gaussian blur in photoshop, or did yours OnOne Blur tool?

I used gaussian blur but not too much. It has just the right amount of effect I think.
