Shops for lenses?

Could anyone recommend some good shops for lenses?

What I know are jessops and jacobs.

But their prices are not so good (services are good I think).

I think for many lenses Jessops can be around the same price - On a £1k lens they may only be £20 out which is quite handy as you can see the actual lens and try before you part with cash.

new - UK shop = Parks, and kerso for Canon

new - Hong Kong importer but well respected = One Stop Digital

used - ffordes in Scotland or MPB

yes i agree totally - though, if one is looking for a specific lens, it can be ages before one is advertised , or a "Wanted " advert is answered

I've bought excellent equipment here, -- but recently needed a Nikkor Ai-S lens
for a film Nikon F3, which is why i would suggest going "off-Forum" to such as ffordes......:)

Every time i've gone to try a lens at jessops i was told they don't keep them in stock and you have to pay for them before they will transfer one over :LOL:

and Camera type..?

what focal length lenses are you looking for...?

or what you intend to use them for..?

budget..?
