Spybot- search & destroy ?

Just going through my program files via my computer - Local Disk C, I found a folder named "Spybot- search & destroy", opened the folder but nothing is contained in it. any ideas what this folder is for or if indeed it should be there ?.

Spybot -search and destroy is a freeware scanner for malware - very popular a few years ago but these days most security packages, and indeed windows, have their own built in scanner. If there s nothing in the directory you can safely delete it.
