Wild The small but mighty (loud) Ovenbird

I'd never heard of an Ovenbird (or an Ovenbrid ;) ) It almost looks like a hybrid firecrest/thrush :) A lovely shot of a very pretty bird. Auto seems to have worked amazingly well.

I read that as oven ready bird, and thought that's not going to feed a family of 4.

An interesting looking bird, nicely captured.
It seems the name comes from the shape of the domed nest, with a side entrance.
Rather like an old-fashioned oven.

You live and learn, eh?

I've never seen a nest, even though I know where they nest... or maybe I have and just didn't know it (more likely actually)

Great shot.

Out of interest, Oven bird is on the British list (wish it was on mine) , 4 records I believe. They get their name from the shape of the nest they build resembling a dutch oven.

I fixed the title LOL!
"Auto everything" is a little bit of a stretch...
:ROFLMAO: I only mentioned it because I actually googled oven brid :LOL:

I was thinking it must have auto eye detect as well because it appeared to be focused on the eyes, which you might not expect with your average 'auto'.

I'd never heard of it either :D

Lovely picture Steven, perfect really with lovely colour and detail and helped by an isolating uncluttered background.

Well taken :D
