The best answer for that scenario is to shoot it in manual!

I tend to agree with this Mark. I will however add, that a shot like this is best attempted with a Nikon.

Don't photograph weddings so have no need for exposure lock. AF ON for BBF with an expanded focus point and AI SERVO. AE LOCK for spot focus and ONE SHOT AF.

Used to use DOF button to switch from servo to one shot but trying this at the moment.

No mate. I think if I was going to stick at wedding photography, then I would seriously consider it.

Cool... Great responses as I was unsure as to these it's but I think I will give this a try to see whether I get more keepers.

I guess the BBf is moved to the
AF- on button.

The * button remains as the exposure lock

Bit late to the party with this but on my X100, I used to switch to manual focus. You can then use the AFL/AEL button as an AF override, effectively the same as using BBF on a DSLR. I hadn't read about anybody else shooting their Fujis this way so thought it worth a mention.
