What car do you drive?

Clarkson likes them. Make of that what you will ...
My cousin sells cars. He has a Skoda Roomster as his 'own' car. Last time I saw him ( a few weeks back ) he had a Boxster, a Carrera and a Range Rover parked up in his lock up. He was in the Skoda. I'm not saying the Skoda is better than a Porsche, but it does say something that he was happy to drive it with them in his arsenal.......... :)

For donkeys years I had company cars. When asked what I wanted, given I used to change them at 80k or 20 months on average it was '4 wheels, engine, blue with front fog lights'. As they were a tool that I got taxed on, I wasn't bothered what they were.

When I started out on my own I went for a Merc W211 E Class. Had 2 of those.

Always wanted an S class.

I now have this W221 S350L. I tend to do long journeys at each end of the working week. I want survivability in the event of a smack. It does over 50 mpg at motorway cruising speed. Lots of toys. Love it!!

I've had 2 of these recently, the new shape ones, absolutely amazing.

Mine is a 63 plate new shape. It's a nice car for sure.

When you drive a Skoda, you realise just how many of them are on the roads ( Skodas not Octavias ). I had a silver 13 plate and a 63 blue one. The silver was better specced and the closest to the BMW I had than anything else I had driven since.

Mine is silver, albeit fitted with blue lights etc. I'll be sad to lose itin June. But I'm sure the M3 will lessen the blow ;)

A C class 250? :)

A Mitsubishi Pajero. I did have a lovely little BMW Z4 Coupe..... Then my son was born :D

I have a new VW Golf estate, very nice. I blow the engine up on my old Audi A3 , it had done 153k though.

Cossie would have been better. ;) The only car, I'm aware of, that Clarkson regretted having to hand back.
Think I remember him bemoaning a 20k insurance bill for the Escort Cosworth he was using at the time

Very very different proposition. Heck wouldn't have had air conditioning making it a nono for me :)

Tomorrow, we're getting a brand new Ford Kuga Titanium, thats ours/hers. Picking it up at 11am.

Arrived at Ford dealership this morning. Around came our Kuga. Went to have a look and noticed a scrape on the painted rear bumper straight away. Went in to tell the manager the good news. Came back out and as I walked toward the car I noticed a gouge out of the front bumper. Got down on my knees and found a badly scraped bumper from left to right.
Disaster, she who must be obeyed was furious. Manager was not impressed as car had just had a pre sale inspection.

Oh dear. Not a good start.

You do not say what the outcome of that was but I would have refused it and demanded a totally new replacement, I did that with a brand new Honda CRV as it had evidence of remedial work done to the paintwork and despite insisting they should be allowed to make good the defects I dug my heels in and they had to order a replacement and be left with a "pre owned" car on their books, I even got to drive the damaged one until the other one arrived.

They've found another one, same extras/colour/fuel, it's being brought in to the dealership in the next week. They did offer us another car to be fair, there wasn't much point as she finished work yesterday and will be pretty much house bound for the next few weeks. ( I have a fully expensed company car which we use almost exclusively)

Funnily enough as we drove up, my OH said she had a funny feeling things weren't going to be right today. As she's 8 1/2 months gone with our second, we need a bigger car ASAP. We bought a B Max 18 months ago as a cheap run around as she wanted a year off with maternity, but it won't take a pram or buggy in the boot. Epic fail on our part when we got that one home and realised we couldn't fit any of our 3 buggys/prams in. You should have seen our faces LOL.

Our sport nav tourer is brilliant. Just got this years road tax for £30, not bad for a 2.2 diesel turbo.

Yeah good cars and well made

wifes just picked up her new ford s-max titanium from the local ford dealers today she's very pleased with it
it's one of the only 7 seaters you can get a pram in the boot with all 7 seats in place all the others we looked at ( peugeot 5008 / citreon c4 grand same chassis engine etc , vauxhall safira , toyota verso and others ) you couldn't fit a small pushchair in it was one of the deciding factors when looking for a new 7 seater
the toyota previa it's replaced now 12 years old had quite a good amount of boot space but toyota make nothing like them for the uk now or we would have had another one of those

no photo's yet not had chance we only picked it up this morning

Nice one. Isn't it shocking that so many are so impractical. We had the same with 7seat 4x4's. Only the Discovery 4 and Mercedes GL you can have adults sit in comfort on the third row AND have enough space left for luggage. Biggest shocker for me was the Q7 where not even my 5 yo (at the time) could get comfortable in there.

For a people carrier I've always like the s-max, bet it looks nice in titanium spec as well.

just picked up a new BMW 330d M Sport Plus yesterday and love it. I will miss my Golf GTD but this thing is lovely. Lots of extras on it and the HK speaker system is fantastic. It cant half move. Its a bit of a beast........

Nice, but we need pics:)

Honda civic type r. Had it from new for 10 years. fancy something new but it refuses to die

Still loving mine (3l Premium Luxury with added extras [by original owner]). Very tempted to go for the 2.2 when I change - 99% of the time I wouldn't notice a difference and it's only because I've got the 3l that the 2.2 seems a bit gutless. In the real world, the extra 10 or so MPG would be more use to me than the extra few BHP, especially in Sportbrake form. Would want the same toys that the current one has though!

Drove 2.2 during a service, wouldn't want to go there. The 3L V6 has been a motoring epiphany, not sure I will ever get over it.

Yup, had a couple of 2.2s as courtesy cars. First one was a bit sluggish and was constantly hunting through the gears (turned out the 'box was faulty from new) but the second was plenty good enough for my needs (and almost all my wants!) Didn't hunt, went and stopped almost as well as mine, had most of the toys and turned in over 40 MPG on a mainly town diet. Didn't much like the stop/start so would remember to press the relevant button to knock that out if I get one. Oddly, the boot seems to be the same length as the saloon, just got extra head room with the blind removed. I suppose it'll depend what's available when I decide to change - precious few of the V8s around in my price bracket!!!

What car do you drive and what made you pick that model as I am in the market for a used car.

I will start the thread by saying I am focused on BMW 3 litre diesel 3 maybe 4 or 5 series had a few now and not found anything to compare to the bullet proof engine and it's performance and fuel efficiency for a 6 cylinder block.
The drive is also something special with a very solid feel and a super comfy ride.

Citroen C4 Picasso, because I needed a bigger car to fit my two English Mastiffs in :)

Also, it's automatic transmission.

Automatic transmission is a must for me and my young ( 19 ) year old son loves his Toyota Yaris Auto. And says he would never buy a manual again.

I drive a dull, fuel efficient, capacious, well recommended by some but slated by others, rolling bore-fest. We all do. Pick a colour and join the queue. :)

Range Rover P38 in 2.5TD why because I like it, because I can fit all the work kit in it and get the work kit where ever it maybe needed, plus if the weather is a little inclement I know I can still get to the destination finally in case anyone missed it because I like
