Windows 7 and Spyder 2 - will it work?

To be fair to myself it may have been a combination of things.

I first started having the problems at the end of last year and have not tried to calibrate the monitor since then.

So:

1. my graphics card driver was updated three days ago when the latest version was released
2. I used an uninstall program to completely uninstall all the software and keys etc I had installed.
3. removed the monitor from device manager in case this was corrupted
4. removed the "tick" from the W7 colour managment window and set this back to the default.

Installed the "normal" Spyder2Pro software and calibrated the monitor.

This then sets the colour managment up as it should do.

Each restart of the PC loads the correct monitor profile as it should.

An issue I have is that if I recalibrate the monitor it raises an error sayng it can't load the profile, but then proceeds as normal and allows me to calibrate.

So all appears well.

With respect to the printer, I have alrady purchased a CIS system. There is a PErmajet agent 7 miles from me and will look into purchasing some inks when the current ones run out.

Have been waiting for ages to buy one.

Hope its worth the wait. It appears to be from the results I have seen

Cheers

Just make sure you get the free custom profiles - not just the bog standard ones. Really helps and I'm happy with my setup.

will do, thanks

Anyone managed the Spyder One Pro to work with Win 7?
I have Optical installed, the Windows 7 accepted the Spyder 2 Driver, but the Optical wont find it attached.. connected.. :(
