As I’m sure you know, vultures need some love these days.

They are beauties, seen them in the wild in Southern Africa and Central America,

and not so wild just outside Andover :)
 
World Vulture day on 3/9/2022? That would explain why we saw several stacks of Griffon Vultures in a 10km drive! Must have been a dozen or so birds in total but since we were on the way to a beach day, I didn't have a suitable camera/lens with me and a GoPro clone wouldn't have seen them!
 
I love Vultures! I find them fascinating and very amusing to watch. And, as already mentioned, without them serious diseases can spread - India being a good example. People misunderstand them and give them a bad press and so I think they deserve the promotion of a 'World Day'. But I don't know who on earth decides these special days!
