Why have Canon bodies become so unreliable

Nope, almost never. I don't think i've ever shot in the top speed FPS mode. It's always on the one up from single shot. Very occasionally i'll go one step higher to the faster mode but never top speed. Yeah maybe. Since the sensor isn't fixed in the body maybe moving the camera around damages...

Why have Canon bodies become so unreliable

I've been using it in both modes. The first time the shutter started to fail I switched to electronic shutter and the camera worked fine (but obvs with still a broken shutter, so only worked in electronic shutter mode). Second time the shutter failed, the shutter blades seperated from each...

Why have Canon bodies become so unreliable

Yeah the plastic base plate seems to ben a corner Canon have cut in recent years. The C70 has an inadequate base plate that's not properly connected to the actual chassis of the body. I've seen C70 bodies with the entire plastic base plate ripped clean off.

Why have Canon bodies become so unreliable

This is somewhat of a rant, but i'm interested to see if anyone else is having serious reliability issues with their Canon bodies as of late. I've been a professional photographer for almost 15 years now, and in the last 3-4 years have had more issues with Canon bodies than I have in the...

    Has anyone used Camix before?

Yeah this was what swayed me. Every time I see someone who had a faulty camera or something they said Panomoz sorted it out super quick. I also emailed them just after I placed my order with a question and they responded within minutes. I think that's the quickest reply to an email i've ever...

    Has anyone used Camix before?

Thanks for the info all. When I asked about the source of the kit I was told that it was a mix - they said some items are imported and some are UK spec. I was asking about the R3 and they said the current ones on the website are imported, and they are expecting UK spec ones in the coming...

    Has anyone used Camix before?

Hmmm yes good spotting. I assume it's just some guy importing and selling cameras. Yeah I did have a look at the registered business on Companies House previously and saw it was pretty new, another red flag.

    Has anyone used Camix before?

Hi all, Has anyone used Camix before? They have what I need in stock, and their Trustpilot reivews are good, but I contacted them and their cameras are a mix of grey imports and UK spec. Still deciding if I should go for a grey import or wait it out for UK spec. Just wondered if anyone has...

Which Professional Would You Like to be Apprentice to?

Any of the following: James Nachtwey, Christopher Morris, Stanley Green, Pep Bonet, Jan Grarup, Philip Blenkinsop, Yuri Kozyrev, Phillip Jones Griffiths, Robert Capa etc... If I wanted to to sport then probably Bob Martin or Vincent Laforet (although I don't like his blog anymore since he's...

I've Just had a pic shown on BBC News!

No it isn't. Unfortunately being published by the BBC for sending in a photo isn't a big deal at all. You should never give away photos for free, it damages the industry. The BBC now have a HUGE library of images that they can use for whatever they want, and they paid nothing for...
