    Basic Macro Lens

I've never tried macro photography at all but I need to take some photos of some very small and detailed mechanical work. I have a D750 body and am looking for starter lens recommendations. I don't want to spend much just looking for something with decent results for modest outlay. Thanks,

    Flash for Nikon

At the moment I can't justify the cost of a top end Nikon flash unit so wondering if I'm better going for a cheaper Nikon (something like an SB300) or going for a non-Nikon branded item - perhaps a Neewer VK750 from Amazon - any views?

    OM4 lens 50mm f1.4 on Nikon DSLR

Are there any Nikon DSLRs that will fit? The lens is actually 50mm f1.2. There seem to be some adapters for sale that do say they are compatible. Do have an OM4 still but the idea of using film isn't appealing.

    OM4 lens 50mm f1.4 on Nikon DSLR

Looks easy enough, only bit not sure on is the spring. Sure I can get one just not looked before.

    OM4 lens 50mm f1.4 on Nikon DSLR

Happy to do bit of work - looks like the ring you need isn't an adapter exactly more a part to replace but looks easy enough. Keen to keep the lens as it's a nice bit of kit

    OM4 lens 50mm f1.4 on Nikon DSLR

This might be a very daft question but does anybody know if there is a way to fit an old 50mm f1.4 lens for an OM4 to a Nikon DSLR? It's manual focus which makes me slightly hopeful. Thanks,

    Beginner Entry level options

Thanks for the reply, very helpful indeed. The person I'm buying for I think will value versatility and ease of use over all else at least from initially. Like the reviews of the Tamron and good to hear someone else has used it as I've no experience. Are they compatible with other Nikon's...

    Beginner Entry level options

Looking for some advice, want to know what is a decent entry level setup general use as I need to arrange a gift (holidays, family etc). The main purpose is to help someone get into DSLR cameras (they have never used one) and just to get out and enjoy taking better photos. Personally always had...
