    Godox ad200 rear curtain sync

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply. Sorry, wasn't clear on origional post, the option is on the xpro flash controller however once connected to either the 5dmk3 or the 7dmk2 the flash will only fire first curtain. checking the in camera menu for flash control it does not give the option for rear...

    Godox ad200 rear curtain sync

Got a Godox ad200, xpro trigger & a canon 5dmk3 (7dmk2 also) Surprisingly there seems to be absolutely no option either in camera menu or on trigger to allow rear curtain sync. Apparently it's something to do with canon's dislike of 3rd party accessories. Anybody on here found a workaround?

Magic Lantern Motion detect for birds.

Hi All, does anyone on here have any experience setting up magic lanterns motion detect feature? I've been trying to set it up to catch birds on a feeder but so far I'm not having much success with it detecting anything, even me waving & jumping in front of it! Canon 5Dmk3, 70-200 2.8 lens. Live...

Sigma 150-600 mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM SPORTS owners thread

Hey Black Fox, just in case you haven't had a chance to get a hold of your sons, took the plunge on the 7d mk2, early days yet but combined with the 150-600 it seems pretty sweet & the autofocus has exceeded my expectations, people were commenting on the noise at high isos & while it's not full...

    Blue tit - distracting bokeh?

Just a thought, you could always try using the adjustment brush to reduce the sharpness or clarity to try & blend the bokeh circle.

    Birmingham street attempts

Thanks for the input juggler, can see your point. I was more interested in catching the light & shadows & seeing how they played out, but advice noted for the next time. Cheers!

SPECIAL PEOPLE PORTRAITS • A social project

Brilliant. As a parent of twins with special needs I think you have done a great job capturing the charactor, determination, happiness & pride of the subjects without ignoring or playing down the obvious.

    Birmingham street attempts

Hi, was away with the wife in Brmingham for her b-day & took the opportunity to try my hand at some street shots. Nice bright weekend so I wanted to try the shoting into the sun look which I must admit I quite like, nice strong shadows. I haven't done a lot of street shots but I think these have...

Sigma 150-600 mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM SPORTS owners thread

Hi Roy, thanks for confirming the af, makes pressing the big scary BUY NOW button easier! Just out of curiosity guys, what's the slowest shutter speed you have had success with handheld? I've got 1/1250th dialed in as a custom with auto iso but on static subjects I've managed 1/160th at...

    few from twycross zoo

Thanks for the input Gary, always good to get some constructive criticism. I was going for the headshot look for the penguin as I like the eye detail buy maybe a tighter crop would have helped, maybe not as it's only an okish shot but with good eye focus... BTW I've gone back & revisited the...

    B&W Heron

Hi Stan, thanks for the input. I am curious tho, I've heard this from a few wildlife togs also about not going b&w but why is this any different from any other photography genre? Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for an argument as each to thier own but it might be interesting to hear a...

    B&W Heron

Hi Gramps, cheers! I love herons & this guy must be sick of the sight of me by now, see him pretty much every day. I went for the b&w/sepia look because I think the contrast between the bird & the background works really well & you don't see enough b&w wildlife. I can't see the blue hue you are...
