Could you live without Photoshop or other PP software ?

Probably if I shoot jpeg and tweak the settings in camera, but I like having the digital negative and versatiliy of shooting in raw so I can develop the photos myself. I do believe in getting it right in camera though as much as possible.

Signs it's going to be a good sunset?

the ideal conditions can be very fleeting so the important thing is to be there and set up for when it happens. My approach is to go out and work with what I find the conditions to be. Different conditions can change what you shoot and how. Overcast skies may mean having to produce shots with a...

Cheapest way into Wide Angle :Nikon D90

I'm on a tight budget and picked up a Tamron 11-18mm Canon mount for £150. They often show up on ebay and usually go for around £180.

    My lenses

I would consider the Tamron 17-50mm as an upgrade to the 18-55mm. I wouldn't change the 55-250mm at the moment unless you look at something like the 70-200mm f4L.

    Fro knows photo

I like Fro but I usually get too distracted to be able to listen to what he says, apart from the 'Fro knows photo dot com!!' he always does. Love watching Gavin Huey and Digital Rev. Snapchick is ok but like Fro, find it hard to focus on what she's talking about.

    A Basic Set Of Gear

The best investment now I think is time taking photos because then I think you'll descover what you'll need instead of spending money on something you may not use. Items such as a lens cloth, rocket blower etc are always useful.

being self conscious, not a good trait

I find it very difficult taking photos around people unless I am with fellow photographers, even at parks or beaches if there are too many people around I can feel very reluctant to take my camera out of the bag especially if there's alot of noise too, it can be very distracting. I kinda put it...

Photoshop Elements or Paintshop Pro X3 ???

I think Elements has the easier learning curve and is still a capable photo editor for when you have learnt the basics. Also as mentioned in a previous post, there are more tutorials and resources available.

    Best editing software

Most of the main editors are available on a 30day trial basis for download from their websites so you have nothing to lose by trying them out to see which one you prefer.

    A few from wales...

I love image 4, everything comes together from the composition to the colours and as I'm in South Wales you've also given me a location for myself to visit.

Better tripod than this for the price?

I have the Triad60, and my only dislike is the plasticky leg clips. Certainly sturdy enough though. I do recommend visiting a camera shop and looking at different tripods and heads though to get an idea of which suits your shooting style.
