    Modifier output with different flashes...

Thanks guys... It's the answer I was expecting tbh.. Just wanted input from folks who know a lot better than I do!

    Modifier output with different flashes...

Bit of a newbie question but.... Getting back into things after selling up a few years ago and flash-wise just have a Godox V850 that I shoot portraits (mainly headshots) through either a softbox or beauty dish. Would there be any benefit in quality of light from my flash to something like an...

    Growing Up Fast.....

Sorry for the late reply, been up in the wilds of Scotland with the flakiest internet ever! It's a sort of reflector/strip light made from white foam board, attached to a flash with velcro although i'll improve on this to make it a bit more secure.... it's very light, can be hand held or used...

    Band photography tips

I did this a few years ago with a friends band....dark grey carpet on the walls, proper dingy. As has been said, black and white, ramp up the iso and enjoy yourself.....sorry, just read you've already done it, look forward to seeing some. A single off-camera flash can also be helpful, hope you...

Canon 5D MK I 'classic' - owners thread

Had my first 5Dc (in fact first Canon, nevermind first full frame camera) around a month or two and am slowly getting to grips with it and its imperfections. I don't really mind as i'm taking my time instead of blasting away. It's going to have the 50mm STM welded on it for quite some time but...

    Growing Up Fast.....

Thanks....might go against convention and isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like shadows and contrast in my portraits.

Are DSLRs too complex for beginners

Understanding the exposure triangle is probably the (just) most important thing an aspiring photographer should learn but it doesn't help when you have to delve through menus to change settings like most entry level dslrs. Fuji's are a breeze to use in manual with the evf and dials right in...

    Growing Up Fast.....

True what they say...blink and you miss it. I spent an hour or so this afternoon tinkering and made a DIY flash modifier from white foam-board (even though i've a cupboard full of modifiers i'm always making my own stuff...just for the fun of it!). Needs a bit more tinkering but i'm pleased...

Canon 5D Classic....good bang for the buck?

Tbh... I absolutely adored my fujis before I sold up a few years ago but having never used ff digital I just fancied having a bash as cheap as possible and take it from there...

Thanks maarten, had read a few things about the mirror issue so will definitely bear that in mind

Canon 5D Classic....good bang for the buck?

After selling all my Fuji gear a few years ago and being in the relative photographic wilderness i'm hankering for another dslr/mirrorless camera.... I realise you get what you pay for but i'm not a wealthy man so like getting good bang for my buck, which leads me to ask; Is the 5D Classic a...
