    Getting close to wild birds

Ok, I am feeling a bit demonic at the moment sooooo...... You could always get the camera closer to the birds, without touching it. Break off a suitable twig, place it with tie wraps and jubilee clips onto a suitable post. Set up some food so the birds will most likely use the twig to have a...

    Long Tailed Tit

Is soft the correct word for contrast in images now? When I read this, I initially thought you were complaining about the focus. When I was printing you could get soft, medium and hard paper, the softest being low contrast. But, focus was still regarded as being soft for portraits. Shouldn't...

What will be your next photography related purchase? Or what photography gear do you lust after?

I used to have an SQA, but this will be stuck on my K-3ii until I get my K-1. Evidently there is little to zero light loss with the converter.

What will be your next photography related purchase? Or what photography gear do you lust after?

Next purchase? - lusting...... Oh dear! I have started doing searches for a PENTAX 67 6x7 600MM f/4 ASAHI SMC-TAKUMAR. The problem is, at 6kg I will have to hire a Sherpa too. 'Smiley face', in case Den doesn't realise the Sherpa reference was tongue in cheek.

I liked the first one. But hey, this is good too.

    Goose fast landing

Also Den, I feel that, like art critics, some photography expectations and criticism does tend to get a little extreme. Some like a shot one way, some another, some shots are pure art. I woke up with the devil in me.... and when I saw the goose... well... The photographer presented a subject...

    Goose fast landing

So.... You have to put emojis on everything these days to enable people to realise something is tongue in cheek? They better start adding pop-up smiley faces to Roy Brydon and Steve Cougan series in that case :-)

I wasn't taking the pxxx, he has a valid point, I was just stating how it should have been done, in my opinion.

Yes, if I had been there, I would have taken scuba gear and placed myself in the water at an angle of 30 degrees to the bird. You have missed the full expression on the bird's face (I like to see the full face smile) and you can't see whether it has washed under its wings. If you are wondering...

Presenting photos with no exif data

Self edifying waffle? Do you understand what this means, I don't think you do? How could I be educating or enlightening myself from what I am writing? Please explain. Another put-down I never was and never will be in a hole over my statement in this thread. Four posts since my last and...
