Just got mine today - looks brand new & unused, box a wee bit tatty. Mike, I'm being stupid here, but the Nikon UK website accepted the serial number - I take it I now have the year's manufacturer's warranty on top of the 3 months from the retailer? Still slightly in shock at the bargain!

Took this earlier this year with a G11 when driving up to Edinburgh on the A68, it was absolutely freezing but I had to pull over for a snap from a layby of the sunset. Cropped quite a lot of the foreground out because of a fence. Would welcome any constructive criticism. Thanks...

Thanks! Did a wee search and just ordered one at that price:cool: Had an extensive play with a G12 and absolutely loved it. The levels of manual control are outstanding, and the IQ superb within the limitations of its sensor size.

Wonderful clarity and detail - the gun fairing and firing flap for the 20mm cannon on the starboard shoulder/wing root is really obvious in 4. and 6.:clap:

Lovely shot mike, the J29 was a superb fighter, its rotund appearance belying its grace and speed on the move. Bit like myself:thumbs:

Really delighted with it Ian, it'll be exclusively for the G11, but impressed with its durability mounting a small DSLR.

Arrived today, absolute bargain, D40 with kit lens well within the weight limitation and very stable.

Got one initially for my G11 but found it a bit bulky. Bought a Canon G11 specific case in tan - not cheap, but very retro and it is much admired by others! Fits like a glove...

Thanks Ian - just ordered one for about £39 from 7dayshop for my G11, and it might do the job for a D40 with the 35mm light lens. Excellent review, very informative. Cheers:thumbs:
