    Canon 2000d LCD screen issue

Hi all, I'm asking on behalf a friend (honestly!), so only have basic info, but wondering if this rings a bell with anyone. The LCD screen works, as it can be used when in video mode. However the screen remains completely blank when in image shooting mode, or trying to access the menu. Any...

    EN-EL15 + charger recommendations

Hi everyone, I'm looking to to get a back up battery (or two) for my D750. I'd like to get a charger too. I'll be looking at third party ones, lots of packages on Amazon for around the £30 mark (charger + 2x batteries). Any recommendations for ones you've bought and are working well?

    Upgrade from Nikon D700

I think you've summed it up perfectly there! It's a real treat having two bodies, but I don't do as many 'paid for' jobs these days, so it's a bit of luxury really. I think I'd appreciate having 1x d750 over 2x d700. If funds allow, I might look to sell 1x d700, acquire 1x d750 and keep 1x d700...

    Upgrade from Nikon D700

Thanks Ed, that's really useful. A broad question I know, but how would you compare the low light capabilities of the D700 to the D750?

    Upgrade from Nikon D700

Haha, au contraire my philosophical friend! My interest in photography has not flagged, however the photography that I continue do is primarily low light stuff - concerts, events and the like. I do not really have the need for / can justify having 2x bodies (as useful as that can be), so I...

    Upgrade from Nikon D700

Nice! D750 is what I remember researching a year or two ago... Interesting to know it's still up there amongst sensibly priced bodies!

    Upgrade from Nikon D700

I have had 2x gripped D700s for an age, and they have served me very well. I couple these with Nikon 24-70 + 70-200 f2.8s ... A dream set up for events, being able to switch quickly between the two on a double strap. I don't do so much photography these days, and considering swapping out both...

    Buying an SSD

spot on. it was a really simple process to replace the HDD for an SSD: - download W10 onto a USB stick (from Microsoft website) - replace the HDD for SSD - boot the laptop from the USB - follow the setup wizard: when it asks you to enter the product key, leave it blank and go to "next" - you're...

    Buying an SSD

i've not put much on the machine yet, but start up and general navigation is noticeably sharper. i've installed Adobe CC and Lightroom / Photoshop load pretty quickly (quicker than before for sure!) though I've not worked on any files yet. plus it feels good to have a totally clean machine, and...

So far so good with the install of W10... Just downloading updates... I guess I would have noticed an issue by now? #fingerscrossed

    Buying an SSD

so I'm all set with the kit, and I want to do a clean install of W10. reinstalling apps/software won't be a problem, but what about drivers, etc. which run the mouse touchpad and the Acer "stuff" which supports the laptop?

    Buying an SSD

Thanks guys, I've just ordered the Sandisk Ultra II 480gb SSD, it's £99 on Amazon today... good price I thought and I trust Sandisk products. I'll probably be posting again about the Windows 10 clean install!
