Spend a bit of your holiday cash on a pentax 17 if you insist of film. 72 images per roll, perfect holiday film camera. Or take your phone. I wouldn't trust any one of my old cameras for special moments. You will end up missing shots that'll give you happy memories for years to come.

I keep buying when anything is on offer, my spare fridge is bursting. Our main fridge now has some film in it. I've had orders to remove it. The speed (lack of) I get through through film, I've got enough to last about 4 lifetimes now. I'm trying to keep off any websites that have offers...

A few images from testing my old stored cameras. All foma 100 or 200 in 110/hydrofen/bellini monobath. I think the Rollei is now fixed. The mamiyaflex was a nightmare, it wasn't stopping after advancing so spacing and overlapping was an issue. I never realised until I'd put 2 rolls through it...

The actual fix of the Rollei was to take the side off and move/force back a metal bar thing that was stopping the counter from working. Won’t bother again, have you seen what’s inside them? Glued the leatherette back on last night once I knew the counter was working again. Light seals were...

I’ve got the Patterson reels that open from 35 to 120. I bought some different reels with a flange built in them , they are really easy to load. I’ve only got 4 of them, if I need an extra one I have to use the Patterson things with old film in the start to get the actual film in. I can’t wait...

I’m sitting here trying to type with glue in a syringe, attempting to put yarn light seals in the Rollei back that I think I’ve fixed. I’ve got glue everywhere :ROFLMAO:

I understood that Wayne. I made a mess of my reply. Meant to say I something about pulling it out from helping load the film then trying to put it in the centre to stop the reel from sliding up. This would mean having a bent section at one end and making a tab on the other that can be unfolded...

I could have done with one today. These reels I use fit snugly on the Patterson column and I always push the reels down. I suppose the pressure of the liquids moving through the reel and lubricating it must’ve made it slip. It’s all part of the fun.
