Each to their own I guess, but I prefer your original shot #1. Too me it seems more magnificent, trying to explain I think the closer tree line on left helps gives scale to the enormity of the mountains and the environment where the shot was taken. If that makes sense.

Agree, cheers, duly noted for future pics. There was a female hanging around to, though the shots of her aren't great. Had it been sitting on top of all the grasses / rushes that would have been ideal. However, happy with what I got, hopefully the experience will help my next trip.

Explored Rainham Marshes on Friday... not a birder myself. However, full of friendly advice giving toggers and watchers, enjoyed the walk and abundant wildlife. Will endeavour to go here, and to others, more often. Please note below is cropped.

Cheers jakeblu, They do surprise, my son loves it; spotting birds of prey, climbing, paddling. Managed a few 4 -4.5 hour country walks. Just needed to watch him near shear drops, when he decides to climb and gest stuck :LOL:
