The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I know the whole sharpening thing is a massive can of worms and probably not noticable when printed in most cases, but it just bugged me so much when I was editing in LR that I wasn't enjoying the experience. C1 looks completely different and much much better by default. Having to avoid using...

I'm really impressed with C1. So much better at handling the Fuji files than LR, and being able to use layers is huge. Didn't take too much to adjust to it after using LR for years either.

Holy moly. Thanks for this, been holding off till my trial expires but have jumped on this. Confirmed that it works.

The mounting on the xpro3 does concern me though. How do we know it won’t be a problem on future cameras and then all of a sudden in a few years time the lenses are only compatible with older cameras? I know it’s only cosmetic, but poor Dave’s experience on here recently shows how difficult...

Why do people love the Holga so much ?

This is the point of this whole thread. - Shot on a camera that is capapble of better IQ - processed to look like a Holga / Lomo photo = "I don't like the PP on this image" - Shot on a Holga / Lomo = "You should use a camera capable of better IQ" Both outcomes are the same and frankly very...

But the photo wasn’t taken for you. He has already explained that that was the look he wanted. Why is that so hard for you to understand? It really is that simple.

Why do people love the Holga so much ?

I don't think that you mean you can't understand, but rather can't relate. I can't relate to people who are interested in trains, much less trainspotting, much less arranging a day to see one go past. I can understand why they might be interested though, for the same reasons that I will plan my...

Yep. The sad thing is that you could replace a few key words and phrases in all of these posts and it would not appear out of place on many 'hobby' forums, nor dare I say it, discussions of politics or race.

Why do people love the Holga so much ?

I think some of the backlash against this type of photography is perhaps aimed at a minority who use these cameras and attribute higher worth to the images, or expect others to, even if the images are just not very good regardless. The same criticism is aimed at some who use film in any format...

I like the pp, makes a nice change from the usual over saturated stuff. Is there a reason you put the building where you did in the frame? It seems like it is intentionally not centred but only just where it almost looks like it could be a mistake. Not that everything has to be on a third of...

Meanygate meanderings - a farmed landscape

This is really great. A lot of the images don't hold my interest but that is besides the point. What I really can appreciate is that you are forcing yourself to work the subject matter and it definitely shows. I can see the style evolve over this thread and the images improving a lot as the...

They're both great and you will be happy with either. Obviously one gives you an extra stop but is slightly larger and more expensive, the other has slighlty better AF performance, is "weather sealed" and a bit cheaper. The F2 seems to render things a bit more contrasty than the 1.4 version...
